Finding Her Voice: Jordyn’s Journey with the JT Academy

“When courage meets opportunity, transformation begins.”

At Urangan State High School, a quiet yet determined student named Jordyn discovered her true potential through the JTYouGotThis program delivered by the Johnathan Thurston Academy.

What began as a 10-week leadership and personal development journey became a turning point in Jordyn’s life. Once shy and uncertain, she now speaks with confidence, carries herself with pride, and inspires not just her peers but also her younger siblings to step forward with self-belief.

Her journey is more than personal growth. It is a ripple effect — one voice finding strength, and in doing so, igniting confidence across a school, a family, and an entire community.

We are proud to share Jordyn’s story, a reflection of the Academy’s values of Confidence, Courage, and Self-Belief.

With heartfelt gratitude, we acknowledge Urangan State High School, Tranquility Media, and the Hervey Bay Advertiser for their support in bringing this inspiring story to light.
