QLD Computers partnered with Lenovo and the Johnathan Thurston Academy to donate digital equipment. This initiative aims to significantly enhance education and learning support in remote Aboriginal communities, providing students with greater access to technology and educational resources. By bridging the digital divide, we are committed to fostering a brighter future for these communities through improved educational opportunities.

JT Academy was delivering online education programs into schools throughout QLD, NSW and NT between 2022 - 2024. The Academy was fortunate enough to utilise this advanced digital equipment donation from QLD Computers and Lenovo in September 2023, to continue establishing connections with regional and remote school/communities. This technology enables us to bridge distances and provide crucial educational support and resources directly to young people.

Qld Computers also supported the partnership between LiteHaus International (a Townsville based NGO that bridges the digital divide across Asia-Pacific) and the JT Academy. LiteHaus repurpose end-of-life computers and distribute them to students in Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Fiji, Samoa, and regional Australia, fostering digital education and bringing opportunities.

They have recently partnered with the JT Academy on a project at the end of 2023 to provide 55 refurbished devices to Yarrabah State High School students. The project was aimed at reducing digital inequality and improving educational outcomes for disadvantaged students.
