What changes have you noticed in your child since participating in the program?

I notice changes in all participants more engagement, more confidence, more respect for themselves and others. 

Our child has really enjoyed attending the JTA Academy program. Their attitude at home has improved.

It was wonderful to hear positive feedback from JTA on how our child was acknowledged as a mentor to other young perople. 

Midway through the program, my child gained an apprenticeship with QBuild. They are the third student from BUSY School to do so. 

Positive connections, smiles and laughs, and decision-making improvements.

Their behaviour has been more positive, anger outburst have been very minimal.

What was your favourite day or activity at the program? Why?

My favourite day was when we went to the Coombabah River.

My favourite memory from the program was learning thought traps—T often assumes the worst.

Bowling reminds me of my childhood. I’ve enjoyed the program.

Seeing him made me feeling blessed to hear how far and hard he had to work for the things he has.

What is one key tool you are going to take away with you and put into action in the community? Why? 

Resilience and confidence to go apply for jobs and being kind—be like the people at JTA.
